Since 1911, Kroll Map Company has provided services to the title industry in Washington State, producing plat books and copies of original survey records. The process of compiling and revising the plat books (aka Kroll Atlases) involved extensive property research, reconciliation, and representation resulting in decades of transcribed records and plats for our own maps.
Property mapping and title searches go hand in hand. Our background in forensic research of property information, our strong analytical skills, and our attention to detail make us well suited to handle title searches that require meticulous examination. Perhaps one of the most useful components of our services to title companies is the ability to decipher complicated legal descriptions and property records to track the historical sequence of ownership. We understand how survey accuracy has changed over the years from rods and chains to present day total stations and we apply these insights to deliver results.
Although the majority of our traditional publications and services ceased approximately 25 years ago due to the availability of online resources, we continue to use the same skill set in modern GIS mapping. We have compiled GIS resources as well as researched properties and easements for local utilities such as Seattle City Light, Woodinville Water District, and Lakewood Water District. Our clients range from utilities and municipalities to individuals needing an accurate property record search.
Please consider Kroll Map Company as a resource for your forensic property research.
